Krishnapatnam Industrial Node being developed as one of the Node under CBIC in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
GoAP, NICDIT and APIIC have entered into a State Support Agreement (SSA) and Share Holders Agreement(SHA) on 29.11.2017.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) viz NICDIT Krishnapatnam Industrial City Development Ltd (NKICDL) was formed between NICDIT and APIIC on 07.08.2018 with equity participation of Central and State Govt to establish, promote and facilitate the developmentof Krishnapatnam Industrial Node under CBIC.
Under the SPV, NICDIT and APIIC shall have an equity contribution of 50% each.
Krishnapatnam Node is connected to major cities namely, Chennai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada/Amaravati and Anantapur, also connecting significant parts of CBIC and VCIC Corridors through various National Highways.

The Plan allocates development of land sufficient to accommodate a population of about 467,800 workers and 291,000 residents over a 20-year time horizon. The Plan presents a framework of how the envisioned investment and employment potential can be realized through the outlined design principles for creation of a vibrant greenfield economic hub that encourages innovation across all sectors.
Kris City is a vibrant industrial hub that attracts a variety of industrial across a range of sectors. Apart from industrial land allocations for other economic sectors - knowledge and education, skill development and research, tourism and recreation form key provisions of the Plan. Kris City provides housing for all income groups supported by open spaces, The development hinges on construction of good quality infrastructure ensuring transportation, energy, water, and other utility services meet the needs of industries, businesses and residents. The new city will be built in three phases, with each phase being self-sufficient in terms of mix of industrial land, supporting residential areas, social amenities, open spaces and utilities.
